Student life
At Wakatayi Secondary School, student life goes beyond the classroom. Religious Associations
At Wakatayi Secondary School, we believe in nurturing students spiritually, morally, and socially alongside academic excellence. Our religious associations provide learners with opportunities to strengthen their faith, develop discipline, promote unity, and build positive character within the school community.

WAMSA (Wakatayi Muslim Students Association)
The WAMSA association brings together Muslim students to promote Islamic values, spiritual growth, discipline, and unity. Through prayers, guidance sessions, Islamic teachings, and community activities, students are encouraged to uphold good morals, responsibility, respect, and peaceful coexistence within and outside the school environment.

WACSA (Wakatayi Christian Students Association)
WACSA provides a platform for Christian students to grow spiritually and morally through fellowship, worship, counseling, scripture sharing, and leadership activities. The association helps students develop values such as love, integrity, discipline, teamwork, and service to others while strengthening their relationship with God.
Clubs and Societies
At Wakatayi Secondary School, students are encouraged to participate in clubs and societies that help them discover talents, develop leadership skills, build confidence, and promote teamwork. Through these co-curricular activities, learners gain practical knowledge and life skills beyond the classroom.

RED CROSS CLUB
The Red Cross Club promotes humanitarian values, health awareness, discipline, and community service among students. Members participate in first aid training, sanitation campaigns, health education, and activities that encourage compassion, responsibility, and helping those in need.

ICT CLUB
The ICT Club equips students with modern technological skills and digital knowledge necessary for today’s world. Members explore computer applications, internet research, innovation, digital creativity, and teamwork through practical learning and technology-based activities.

INTERACT CLUB
The Interact Club encourages leadership, community service, teamwork, and personal development. Through various outreach programs and service projects, students learn the importance of giving back to society, building friendships, and becoming responsible future leaders

NKOBAZAMBOGO CLUB
The Nkobazambogo Club promotes cultural heritage, unity, discipline, and appreciation of traditional values. Students learn about cultural identity, leadership, traditions, language, and social responsibility while preserving and celebrating African cultural practices.

Debate Club
Debate Club at Wakatayi Secondary School helps students develop confidence, critical thinking, public speaking, and leadership skills. Through debates, discussions, and presentations, learners are encouraged to express ideas clearly, research current issues, and communicate effectively.
Leadership and Student Leaders
At Wakatayi Secondary School, leadership is an important part of student development. We believe that every learner has the potential to become a responsible, disciplined, and confident leader. Through the student leadership structure, learners are given opportunities to serve, guide others, and contribute positively to the school community.
The prefect body works closely with the school administration to promote discipline, teamwork, communication, responsibility, and student welfare. Student leaders act as role models who encourage good behavior, unity, cooperation, and academic focus amongadership skills through active participation

Music, Dance and Drama (MDD)
At Wakatayi Secondary School, Music, Dance and Drama plays an important role in nurturing creativity, talent, confidence, and cultural appreciation among students. GAMES AND SPORTS
